Holy Cross Anglican Primary School draws many of it’s students from the poorer neighborhood of San Mateo, which at one time won the dubious honor of being recognized as the most at risk community in all of Belize by the Red Cross. This means many of the school’s families face incredible need and, though hard working, often struggle to provide the necessities for their children.
What they have to offer, they can only give because it was given to them first. This means the school relies heavily on donations. The school was built and is maintained by volunteers and all of the school supplies are donated by visiting families and individuals.
